Hi there!

I'm a Halifax, Nova Scotia based singer, actor and teaching-artist. When I’m not performing or teaching, you can find me escaping to the hike in the great outdoors, at the yoga studio finding inner zen, stalking dogs on Instagram, or adding to my extensive collection of cookbooks!

Growing up as an introverted kid, my mom was determined to bring me out of my shell. Little did she know what a journey that would be... And so ensued my great endeavour to find the extra curricular activity that would stick. You name it, I’ve tried it!

Over the years, I slowly began to find my niche with music, trying my hand at a variety of instruments. However, it wasn't until I decided to take a voice lesson on a whim that I finally found where I belonged. I loved the idea of telling a story through the music. After getting my first laugh on stage, the introverted kid within me dissolved, the rest quickly became history, and I was hooked.

I pursued Classical Voice studies at Acadia University. I spent my summers performing across Canada in a variety of performing programs like HSOF, Opera NUOVA, and MTOT.

Though I enjoyed my classical studies and they taught me to strongly value technique, I had unfinished business with music theatre. I knew New York City was the place to go if I wanted to be in the heart of it all. I auditioned for, and was accepted to NYU's prestigious Master of Musical Theatre and Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy program under the studio of Jeremy Aye. I have performed across the United States and Canada; recent theatre credits include NYU’s main stage production of Sister Act as Mother Superior and performances at Carnegie Hall with Essential Voices USA. Past credits include: Ado Annie in Oklahoma!(Opera NUOVA), On the Town (NYU Steinhardt), Jenny in Company (MTOT), Pitti Sing in The Mikado (MCO) and Ms. Nordstrom in A Little Night Music (HSOF). Equally as passionate about my love of teaching, I have had the pleasure of teaching as adjunct faculty at NYU, performance coaching with Broadway Artists Alliance, being on the vocal faculty at Belvoir Terrace and teaching privately with Katie Cochrane Voice Studio in Canada, the USA, and online!

I currently maintain my private online voice studio and teach in person with the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts in Halifax, NS.

While you’re here, take a look around!

xoxo
