Teaching Philosophy
My goal as a voice teacher is to help nurture and develop a student’s voice at its current state, while helping them discover their full potential. I want to promote healthy, free and expressive singing. I want to focus on what makes the student special, identify their challenges, and cater to their strengths and individuality to determine strategies for maximum growth. Everyone learns differently and therefore should be able to have a safe and supportive environment to explore their full vocal potential, no matter what level.
Katie is excited to announce that she has joined the voice faculty at the Maritime Conservatory of the Performing Arts, and is now accepting new students!
Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts, a non-profit organization, has been a part of the Halifax arts community for over 130 years, setting the standard for quality arts education in music and dance. Here individuals of all ages can further their love of dance and music under the guidance of skilled faculty members in a progressive learning environment tailored to match each student’s unique goals.
